Movable Type Open Source Project

Long time and many newbie bloggers will recognize the name Movable Type as one of the best blog creation and publishing platforms out there. Six Apart, the privately owned company that itself owns LiveJournal, is going open source with its Movable Type Open Source Project. A beta version of the open source Movable Type 4 is available for downloading and the company announced that they expect to release the final version in the third quarter of 02007. Movable Type is written in Perl.
