WordPress 2.0.4 released

The latest stable release of WordPress, 2.0.4., is now available for download. Everyone’s encouraged to upgrade as there are some security fixes.
Following the upgrading instructions on the WordPress Codex I installed this version on July 29, 2006. In the 15 minutes or so that it took to do the upgrade, I got bombed by close to 250 comment spam because it’s recommended to turn off all plugins, of which Akismet is now my most important.
