WordPress 2.0 is coming, along with Yahoo! WordPress hosting

According to various prophetic announcements from the lead developer of the WordPress blogging software on which you’re reading The Ten Thousand Year Blog, the next release, WordPress 2.0, is due to be released this week, which means it will be a very happy holiday season for many WordPress bloggers, myself included. Matt Mullenweg has also struck a deal with Yahoo! Small Business whereby they will be hosting blogs, for a price, running under the WordPress 2.0 platform. Free WordPress blogs can also be set up through WordPress.com.
Dougal Campbell indicated on December 21, 02005 that WordPress 2.0 won’t be released until December 26 so the developers and their elven helpers can enjoy the Christmas they so richly deserve.
