Fighting the evil splog empire

An entry on my WordPress Dashboard alerted me to a relatively new phenom in the blogging word: spam blogs or splogs for short. See this Wikipedia entry for splog.
Fighting Splog on Google’s Blogspot.com service has links to several other antisplog sites.
I have to agree though with the Weblog Tools Collection entry, however, that this is an issue for ISPs and the search engine companies to fight, not one individual users should have to take on.

I’d have to agree that the false-positive nature of these blacklists is too dangerous. Blogs can be setup in minutes, it is too hard to tell whether or not they are a SPLOG.
