Thanks to Jennifer (The Shifted Librarian) Levine, one of my inspirations as a blogger, the American Library Association now has a wiki called Read Write Connect.

WordPress 2.0.7 is out with apologies from developers

A couple of security fixes caused the WordPress developers to release WordPress 2.0.7 close on the heels of 2.0.6. Better safe than sorry, so upgrade now. The good news is, only six files need to be upgraded. Also, they’ve announced that the next major version. 2.1, will be released by the end of January 02007.

National Historical Publications and Records Commission announces grants for electronic records projects

According to an announcement on the ARCHIVES & ARCHIVISTS mailing list (02007 01 04), the United States National Historical Publications and Records Commission is encouraging institutions to apply for grants to develop “sustainable electronic records programs in state archives and other historical records repositories.” The final deadline for applications is June 1, 02007.
